Hey there! Welcome to the Urban Pixel co blog.
If you are new here, I guess you might be wondering who I am and what the Urban Pixel co is all about. So let me introduce myself.
My name is Kerri (Kezza to my mates) and I am the creator behind the beautiful digital patterns and designs you will discover at the Urban pixel co. For a few fun facts about me personally, check out my “About Me“ page – nothing terribly exciting…just a little sneak peek into my life.
My love of all things botanical, combined with my interest in both vintage and contemporary floral art is the inspiration behind most of my designs. In a future post, I will take you through the process of taking a single piece of beautiful art and transforming it digitally into hundreds of different gorgeous patterns. I think you will be amazed, as I was when I first started.
“The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live only as you can.”Neil Gaimen
My purpose with this blog is to spill the tea on all things digital pattern and design! I want to share my love for the process of creating beautiful patterns and to show you just how magical the results can be. I will be showcasing not only my own work but also other talented artists in both the digital world and traditional field as well. I am hoping in the future to be able to bring you guest posts from other artists and designers too.
I would also like to educate and inspire others about the endless possibilities of digital pattern and design. I will delve into its history (I promise it won’t be a boring history lesson!) and show how patterns are used now and how they have been used in the past. This will also include brief introductions to the pieces of art I use and the artists behind them. Having said that, most artist profiles will be found in my Portfolio section.
I will explore current trends and look at the possibilities for the future. I will definately be diving into the AI world and how it might impact the future of design – I’m not sure if this is a good thing or not just yet.
Patterns in nature
Patterns in nature are both beautiful and fascinating and I can’t wait to explore that side of pattern and design with you. Nature is a great inspiration for designers…in fact for all things in life!
Bringing patterns to life
In summary, the Urban Pixel co. is a digital pattern and design business that creates beautiful, high-quality designs for a wide range of applications – from textiles to wrapping paper, and beyond, the possibilities are endless. I believe that design is more than just aesthetics. It’s a way to tell a story, convey a message, and bring a vision to life. At the time of writing this, my designs can be seen across a wide range of products in both my Redbubble and Zazzle stores. My online store (https://theurbanpixelco.com/shop/) will contain a small eclectic range of stationery products (who else has a fetish for stationery?) such as bookmarks and writing paper. I hope to expand this range further in the future.
So sit back, grab a cuppa (or a glass of wine), and get ready to dive into the world of digital pattern and design with me!

I have to thank you for the efforts you have put in writing this site. I really hope to view the same high-grade content by you later on as well. In fact, your creative writing abilities has inspired me to get my very own blog now 😉
Thank you for your kind words…I really appreciate the encouragement. Good luck with setting up your own blog…I would love to read it some time.
May I simply say what a comfort to discover somebody who genuinely knows what they are talking about over the internet. You actually understand how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More people ought to check this out and understand this side of the story. I cant believe you arent more popular because you surely possess the gift.
